Two of my publishers went out of business in the aftermath of Covid -- the business slow downs hurt so many smaller businesses! But, I received back the rights to my books.
It turned out to be a mixed blessing, because at the same time, I also was promoted to a management position at the company where I worked (not a publishing company). While it has been exciting, I found myself becoming something of a workaholic at my job. That sapped me of time, energy and the creative energy to write. It was my own fault as I loved my job, but there just wasn't enough time in my day. End result - my love of writing fell by the wayside.
Now, I am starting to pick up the pieces of my writing life, polishing them off, and rekindling my love of wordsmithing. As I said, it's been a bit way too long.
Currently, I am editing and revising some of my earlier works. Trouble in Paradys is first on the list, and I'm also working on a holiday Regency romance called 'Tis the Season to be Merrie.
